Spiral Bound

            On November 3rd, 2023, Rebecca Sugar, the creator of Steven Universe, released their debut album, Spiral Bound. The album features sounds and stories from Rebecca’s 3 year hiatus from the internet. The 13-minute album embarks listeners on a journey of Steven Universe nostalgia.

             Before the show’s official end in 2019 with the conclusion of Steven Universe Future, Sugar wrote and composed countless songs for the Steven Universe soundtrack as well as created story boards for each episode. Other than their work on Steven Universe, Rebecca is well known for their work in early episodes of Adventure Time, including their first, “It Came from the Nightosphere”. Adopting the character Marceline, Sugar has made multiple hit songs on the Adventure Time soundtrack including “Everything Stays”, heart wrencher, “Remember You”, and “I’m Just Your Problem” from the iconic episode “What Was Missing”.
